One of the things we’ll miss most about our current temporary home are the neighborhood street dogs. We’ve never seen street dogs as loved, cared for, and well fed as our new friends. They are allowed to roam freely and seeing these dogs get to go where they want, do what they want, when they want, is surprisingly joyful.
There is one hiccup with all of these outdoor canines and that becomes apparent in the middle of the night when, like the scene from “1,001 Dalmatians“, an “all dogs alert” goes out and there is a coordinated effort by the dogs in each neighborhood to take turns so that the barking goes on for a really long time. Of course, it is impossible that dogs actually could coordinate something like this, so applying Occam’s Razor to reason out what could cause this, the simplest and most likely explanation is that there are gangs of mischievous cats roaming the streets with water pistols.
