Frequently Asked Questions
Can my clients approve my contracts on the client portal?
Yes. You can have up to two contractual documents and up to two required signatories per document.
Do I need a merchant account for online payments?
Yes, you would need to get an account with Stripe. They are one of the leaders in online payments and have better security features than QuickBooks.
What if I don't want my clients to be able to invite friends and colleagues to access the portal?
Not a problem. This feature can be deactivated.
How will my designers be notified when a client posts a question on the portal?
The designer will receive an email with the client’s question, but because designers tend to get swamped with email, DesignSmart has other features that ensure that these important communication do not slip through the cracks and go unanswered.
Who pays for any credit card fees?
Your client pays all credit card fees.
