75% Off Our Standard Rate For Accounting System Integrations

Most DesignSmart clients use QuickBooks, but if your firm uses another accounting system, then we will discount the cost to develop the code necessary to integrate it with DesignSmart.

Your accounting system can’t do what DesignSmart can do in terms of project management. DesignSmart isn’t an accounting system. But when you combine your accounting system with DesignSmart, then you have something really special – the best of both worlds.

Why Do We Extend This Offer?

Our goal is to grow the list of accounting systems DesignSmart works with. Your goal is to acquire a highly efficient project management system  that works with your accounting system. For this reason, we will reduce our standard hourly rate by 75% in order to make this a win-win.

Frequently Asked Questions

If Our Firm Uses QuickBooks, Will We Need To Pay For An Integration?

No. If your firm uses QuickBooks, then all you will need is our QuickBooks Connector.

We don’t have a list of acceptable accounting systems we’ll work with because of the fluidity of these offerings. The key feature your accounting system will need to include is a comprehensive REST API, together with professional-level documentation. Don’t bother trying to figure out what that means. Just tell us the name of your accounting system, and we will look into it.

The development time will depend on the required functionality. For example, will DesignSmart be pushing proposals, invoices, purchase orders, and vendor bills to your system? Or will it only need to push vendor bills?

We can work out these details with you, but these integrations can take anywhere from 1 to 3 weeks.

This will depend on a couple of things. First, your firm will need to decide what functionality you want the integration to include. Do you want DesignSmart to push invoices to your accounting system? Invoices? Vendor bills? We can work with you to help decide what makes the most sense.

Second, once we know we’d like the integration to do, then we’ll confirm that your accounting software’s “API” ( the language two software programs use to communicate to one another)  provides that functionality. The APIs in  good accounting software systems usually have the functionality required.

To take advantage of this discounted rate, you will need to provide us with a login to your system for development, testing and on going support. If there are any costs required to join your accounting software’s “Developers” program, or similar start up costs, we will pass this cost on to your firm.  Finally, your firm will need to purchase at least 5 DesignSmart licenses.  Once the system goes live, there will be an annual fee to maintain and support the code.
