Bar Code Printing Made Easy

Barcode Printing Made Easy (Finally!)

While computer technology in general, and computer networks in particular, have gotten much easier to work with over the years, the rare exception has been connecting ethernet barcode printers to a computer network. For far too long, getting them to connect to a wired, or wireless, network has been a headache. Not only that, ethernet barcode printers generally cost $600 or more.

To simplify the setup process, and reduce the cost,  we developed code that runs on a Raspberry Pi. Simply connect the Pi to your network and your printer, and we’ll use the remote control software on the Pi to do the rest of the set up.  The entire process takes less than five minutes. And we can use the remote control software to support your barcode printing needs going forward.

Another benefit is that rather than purchase expensive ethernet printers, your firm can use inexpensive USB barcode printers, which are more than adequate for most design firms with modest inventory levels. We’ve been testing two models that are less than $100 and they are working flawlessly.
